Avocados and Accountability

Avocados and Accountability

It's been eight weeks now that we've been fighting with the flu, mountain cedar, sinus infections, staff shortages, and general shenanigans. FINALLY, we committed to sitting down and recording, only to have dogs, kids, and husbands all up in our stuff. In this episode, we bitch about avocados, people, and traffic situations.

AND we want to share some info about the next Planned Parenthood Support Rally happening in San Antonio! Are you even listening? I promise, we're getting better.

Things we want to share:

Think This American Life or The Moth, but sourced from your friends and neighbors. Public Radio tries daily to educate San Antonio about the world, now we want San Antonio to tell us about itself and its people.

Last year, you pushed back against anti-choice protestors at the "I Stand with PP" rally in February. This year we're inviting you to once again show your love for Planned Parenthood at a rise & shine event on Saturday, Feb 24 at the Esperanza Peace & Justice Center. It’ll be a morning of poster-making, t-shirt screening, and fun activities the entire family can enjoy (yay!) We’ll be making posters/signs for the International Women’s Day March (happening the following Saturday on March 3); writing thank you letters to PP staff; writing postcards to our elected officials supporting PP; and Mujeres Marcharan will be onsite screening t-shirts (must bring your own shirt). And of course, learn about our wonderful volunteer opportunities and how you can get involved with Planned Parenthood. We’ll also be giving away some swanky PP swag! Event is FREE! Join us!
